CODISSIA, an ISO 9001:2008 organisation was founded in the year 1969 with a mission to cater to the Micro, Small and Medium industries of this region (CODISSIA). It now has a strength of over 5800 members from this region. To bring technology to the doorsteps of the industries of this region, CODISSIA started organising trade fairs from the year 1988. Some of our flagship fairs are INTEC (Industrial Trade Fair), AGRI INTEX (Agricultural Technology Fair), ELEKTROTEC (Electrical & Industrial Electronics Technology Fair), BUILD INTEC (Building Technology Fair), SUBCON (Subcontracting Fair) and Coimbatore Shopping Festival (Shopping and Entertainment carnival).
To organise our Trade Fairs, we constructed our own world-class Trade Fair Complex, with more than 20,000 Sq Mt of covered exhibition area, totally pillar-free in a well landscaped area of more than 40 acres of land, which can accommodate about 3000 cars and 5000 two wheelers at any given time. Our Trade Fair Complex is situated off the National Highway No. 47, just 2 KM from the Coimbatore International Airport and 8 KM from the Coimbatore Railway station. (CODISSIA)
Coimbatore has always been known as the Manchester of South India due to the thriving textile industries. We would like to add an interesting fact that Coimbatore is also one of the most prominent Centre for Education with about 1976 schools and about 236 colleges. Every year more than 4 lakh students pass out of these colleges, making Coimbatore one of the largest education hub in the country.
